About Heather
Heather arrived at Canyon Creek following five years in the San Antonio area, where she served as the Head Golf Professional at The Club at Comanche Trace and The Club at Sonterra, catering to their memberships. Prior to her time there, Heather accumulated over 12 years of experience as a Head Professional/Director of Golf at prestigious private club facilities in South Florida. Hailing from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, Heather represented both the Ontario and Canadian Amateur teams, which led to a golf scholarship at Longwood College in Virginia. During her collegiate years, she contributed to her team's victory in the NCAA Division II National Championship, earning her an individual spot in the NCAA Division I National Championship. Following her college career, Heather competed on the Canadian and Futures Tours before returning to Canada to pursue a career as a club professional. Her dedication and expertise were recognized with nominations for two National Awards – Teacher of the Year and Junior Teacher of the Year – from the PGA Ontario and the PGA of Canada.

Amy Ruengmateekhun

About Amy
Amy holds a Class "A" membership with the LPGA and boasts an impressive coaching and playing background. Alongside a remarkable high school and college career, Amy recently participated in the 2023 KPMG Women's PGA Championship at Baltusrol and the 2019 US Women's Open at the Country Club of Charleston. Equally significant are Amy's coaching accomplishments, which encompass experience at both the high school and college levels. Notably, she led her Girls' HS Team at Ursuline Academy to consecutive 6A State Championships in the past two years.
Steve Gilley
Director of Agronomy

About Steve
Steve Gilley comes to us from Stonebriar Country Club, where he was Superintendent over the Dye Course. He has thirteen years of experience in agronomy and is a Class A Member of the Golf Course Superintendents of America. Past superintendent experience includes being Superintendent of The Woodlands Country Club (Player Course), and Panorama Golf Club. He also served as an Assistant Superintendent at The Woodlands Country Club (Palmer Course). Steve played collegiate golf at Virginia Commonwealth University and played competitively after college for about fifteen years. He has 26 mini-tour wins to his credit, is a GCSAA National Champion (2019), and has tied the lowest recorded golf score in history (55). He and his wife Kelly moved to north Texas from The Woodlands in 2022. Kelly is also in golf and serves as Executive Director for Northern Texas PGA. The Gilley's have two daughters (Cameron, 22, and Liza, 20) in College at TCU.
