About Bob
Bob hails from Lake Forest, IL, and is a proud graduate of Miami University in Oxford, OH, with a B.A. in Political Science. His professional journey in the food and beverage industry began at the prestigious Deerpath Inn, a member of Historic Hotels of America, located in his hometown. Bob quickly developed a deep passion for fine dining and wine, which propelled him to work with some of the country's most renowned establishments.
A pivotal moment in Bob’s career occurred when he met Hollywood legend Merv Griffin. This connection led him to transition into the hotel industry, taking on the role of Director of Food & Beverage at Merv Griffin's Resort Hotel and Givenchy Spa in Palm Springs, CA. Here, Bob combined his expertise in high-end dining with luxury hotel management, offering guests an unparalleled hospitality experience.
After relocating to Naples, FL, Bob shifted his focus to the wine and spirits sector, spending eight years with Republic National Distributing Company. His time there allowed him to deepen his knowledge of fine wines, craft spirits, and the intricate world of beverage distribution.
Now, Bob has embarked on a new adventure in Raleigh, NC, alongside his fiancée, Christina. Excited for this next chapter, Bob is eager to bring his wealth of experience, dedication to service, and passion for food and beverage to the members and guests of the Raleigh City Club, where he looks forward to creating memorable dining experiences for all.
